Palliative care unit Byle Gård
It was way beyond our expectations! Bright and clean and something completely different than what we thought!
Palliative care unit Byle Gård consists of one ward and an advanced home care team operated by Förenade Care. The management of the unit had previously been housed in a listed building which was heavily infested with mould after being painted with plastic paint. They tried unsuccessfully to fix the problems and finally decided to tear it down. So the decision was made to move into temporary premises, which was not particularly appreciated by the staff.
- When we hear the words "temporary premises", we imagined something different. Just think how pleasantly surprised we were when the Temporent building arrived. It was way beyond our expectations! Bright and clean and something completely different than what we thought.
- It was built quickly and without any hitches. And we had a lot of influence on the layout and design of the premises to suit our requirements. For example, we got a big, specially constructed medicine room that meets safety requirements. And we have, for example, brought in water and wastewater connections, fixed blinds and grilles for windows and reinforced walls and door. We also have customised treatment rooms, locker rooms, a large kitchen, a conference room, a glassed-in reception and 20 workstations. In total we have 400 square metres on two floors.
- We will now stay here until we find new permanent premises, but there's really no rush! The building works really well and we love it!
